Can Kids Visit the Burj Khalifa? A Family Guide Before You Go

Affiliate disclosure

If you’re planning a Dubai trip with children, it’s normal to wonder whether big attractions like the Burj Khalifa are actually family-friendly. Parents often ask if kids are allowed, how the visit works, and whether it’s worth the time (and ticket price).

The biggest concerns I hear are about age limits, long queues, strollers, and whether children will enjoy it or get overwhelmed. No one wants a stressful experience when travelling with kids.

I’ve visited the Burj Khalifa multiple times, both during the day and in the evening, and I’ve seen plenty of families there each time.

In this guide, I’ll share exactly what to expect when visiting the Burj Khalifa with kids, including ticket options, stroller rules, and practical tips that make the visit easier.

Here are some family-friendly hotels with a kids’ pool in Dubai if you’re planning to stay near the Burj Khalifa:

Are Kids Allowed to Visit the Burj Khalifa?

Yes, children of all ages are allowed to visit the Burj Khalifa.

Several observation levels are open to the public, and families regularly visit with toddlers, young children, and teens. The most popular experience is At the Top, which takes you to Levels 124 and 125.

The high-speed elevator reaches Level 124 in about a minute. From there, you can step outside onto the observation deck and enjoy wide views across Dubai. Level 125 is fully indoors and offers more space to walk around, which is helpful when visiting with kids.

Levels 124 and 125 aren’t the highest you can go, but they’re still the most popular option and a great choice for kids.

Higher Levels You Can Visit with Children

If you want a quieter and more relaxed experience, there are higher-level ticket options that also allow children.

At the Top SKY (Level 148)

Children of any age are allowed at At the Top SKY. Children aged 3 and above require a ticket, and prices are the same for adults and children.

This experience includes Levels 124, 125, and 148. Level 148 is calmer and more spacious, with seating areas and a short guided introduction by a Guest Ambassador, which many families appreciate.

It’s a good option if you want a more relaxed visit than the lower observation decks, and it includes skip-the-line access.

The Lounge (Levels 152-154)

The Lounge is the highest area open to the public.

This experience includes skip-the-line access, drinks, gourmet canapés, and access to the outdoor terrace. It’s more relaxed and works best for older children who can enjoy the setting and stay longer.

Burj Khalifa Ticket Prices for Children and Adults

Can You Bring a Stroller to the Burj Khalifa?

No, strollers are not allowed on the observation decks.

Space is limited, and this rule also applies to large bags and shopping. There is a luggage and stroller storage area near the entrance, where you can safely leave your stroller and collect it after your visit.

If you’re visiting with a baby or toddler, a baby carrier is the easiest option and makes the experience much more comfortable.
